Best time to trek
As a winter trek, Kedarkantha is best made from December to April. During these months it is an out-and-out snow trek. On the very first day, when walking from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab, you can see the first snow.

Also, Kedarkantha is one of the few treks in the winter that can be reached. The Himalayas are not always accessible in winter - the majority of trails are snow-capped, the weather becomes unmanageable and the whole trek is not accessible. But Kedarkantha promises the right amount of snow and also provides access to a summit of 12,500 ft high! At sunrise, it's a heavenly feeling at the top. In the magnificent peaks around you, there is a harmony of beauty and an incredible golden sun, seemingly from a second generation. It's a view beyond superlatives.

So you should register for a Kedarkantha trek if you want to go around the Christmas holidays to the Himalayas or maybe start your new year at the summit.

Is Kedarkantha trek and Kedarnath different
They are distinct from Kedarnath and Kedarkantha, but they are both situated in the Himalayan Garhwal. Dehradun is approximately 200 km away from Kedarkantha, which takes ten-11 hours to reach Sankri, Kedarkantha base camp. It's known for the winter treks that are crowded here by many. Frequently Asked Questions About Kedarkantha
1. Physical Fitness - I understand that the very fact that, amid uncertain leaves and friends at the eleventh hour, you have finally been able to book the tour is a real achievement. Even if we consider the trip to be easy-to-moderate, you need a reasonable level of fitness to enjoy the trip. A little later, I'll speak more about it.

2. Mental Preparedness - I think that's even greater than the previous one, especially because it's the winter season. Many of us in our daily lives are not used to such cold temperatures. You should be mentally prepared for something before you. Be mentally prepared. Mind over body is still there.

3. Break in your shoes - This may not seem high but will make an enormous difference on the trek. It is recommended that at least a month before you go to the mountains you start using your trekking shoes. This will ensure that your shoes are comfortable and can take the form of your feet (they are normally slightly heavier than usual). If you miss this segment, you will likely get blisters on the hike. On their first day, I saw many trekkers get blisters, which can jeopardize their experience.
